ACS Provides Free Workshops for Retailers
ACS is offering retailers the chance to take part in a series of free workshops at its Heart of the Community Seminar on 3rd November in central London.
ACS Chief Executive James Lowman said: “Successful local shops are run by switched on retailers who know that taking an active part in their community is a vital part of their success and gives them the unique edge that others cannot match.
“We are offering all convenience retailers the chance to increase their knowledge in the areas we believe to be of most importance to the convenience industry via the free workshops at the Heart of the Community Seminar in London next month.”
The workshops cover lobbying your MP; working with local media; tackling crime; appealing against planning applications; using the Sustainable Communities Act and preventing underage sales with a focus on Community Alcohol Partnerships. Expert speakers will deliver the workshops which will take place following the Heart of the Community Seminar.
The Heart of the Community event is free to attend for all convenience retailers and will feature the main Ministers and MPs with an interest in the retail sector.
Full details of the workshops and the event are available on the ACS website. To book your place simply call Sarah Johnson, ACS Events Manager on 01252 515001.
