UK Entrant Wins Global Achievement Award 2008
The Global Convenience Industry Achievement Award 2008 has been won by Ben Wiseman of Cadbury. Ben is the first supplier entrant from the UK to win the award and was up against tough competition from New Zealand, Australia and Canada.
The UK's other finalist, Laura Jupp of Spar UK, the retailer entrant from the UK, narrowly missed out on making it a double win for the UK convenience store sector.
ACS Chief Executive James Lowman said: “Both UK finalists gave impeccable presentations to the panel of expert judges in Chicago and we are very proud of them, they are a credit to the companies they work for and the UK convenience sector.
“The Achievement Award is an excellent experience for the rising stars of the convenience industry and hopefully Ben and Laura's success will inspire others to follow in their footsteps next year.”
